Today I went and saw Avatar. Everyone has been talking about it. They have also been talking about how amazing it is. In my opinion, the movie was amazing. James Cameron, delivers a great movie. It had a good storyline, good actors, but the most fantastic thing about the film were the special effects. They were outstanding! I never have seen anything like them. If this movie doesn't get an Oscar or Golden Globe I would be shocked. I highly recommend this movie to everyone. It is definitely worth the money you spend on it.
Nielsen Family Party

Every year my family and I go to the Nielsen Family Party. It is never in the same location, it has always been changing. This year we went to a Pizza Place up in West Valley City. The scary part though was driving up. The first happened when we were in the turning lane to go left, my dad went into another lane thinking it was also a turning lane but it really wasn't. So we turned left anyways. The second occurrence and by far the scariest one because we almost got killed was my dad got off a wrong exit. We still needed to be going on the freeway so my dad decides to cross lanes of traffic to get on the freeway. He didn't know that cars were coming and this one car was coming up fast and I thought that we were going to be hit. Luckily the guy slammed on his brakes and my dad drove faster and finally made it back to the freeway. Everybody was so shocked after that no one said anything much. The good thing is we got out of their alive. We finally made it up to the pizz
Christmas Concert

Last Thursday our family had the opportunity to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Concert. For the most part, I enjoyed it a lot. It was very entertaining. There were dancers, a children's choir that came, of course the orchestra and the choir, and then the featured guests were Natalie Cole and David McCullough. I had very high expectations for Natalie Cole. But when she started singing it did not sound good. The rest of the songs were not that good either. People that went on the other nights said she was amazing though so maybe she was just having a bad night. David McCullough on the other hand was pretty good. He narrated some Christmas stories. I thought it was a great performance though. The downside after the concert however was we were stuck in traffic in the parking lot. It took us over a half an hour just to get out of the lot. Despite that, everything went well and everyone all got home safely.
BYU vs. Utah game

So on Saturday I was able to go watch the game at my sister's apartment. The game itself was so intense but it was still a fun game to watch. It was also four hours long. It was such a long game. The great thing was BYU came on top with Max Hall passing to Andrew George who ran it into the end zone for the touchdown. When I saw that I started screaming my head off but who wouldn't? It reminded me of the time when I watched the 2006 BYU vs. Utah game when with three seconds left John Beck threw the ball to Johnny Harline. Oh man these games are going to be classics that's for sure. However, I wasn't too fond of Max Hall's comments after the game about Utah. He apologized later though saying it was more on the fans of Utah that threw beer at his family but I was so surprised that he would do that. I really didn't expect any BYU Player or Coach to do that but he sure did. However, I am glad that he apologized. I hope people will understand and know that

This last weekend started off going to the BYU Game. It was so much fun. I was able to go with my friend Craig. It was great. The only bad thing was it was cold, so I took everything I could possibly think of to warm me at the game. I wore a long-sleeved shirt, I brought a sweatshirt, coat, hat, gloves, and a scarf, so I was really prepared. Anyways, it was a really fun game to go to. BYU won Air Force. The final score was 38 to 21. BYU could have had more points but the dumb refs made the stupidest calls. In the first quarter, Spencer Hafoka caught a pass for a touchdown but it was called back for offensive pass interference. The second bad call happened a little later. Max Hall looked like he was going to snap the ball but instead moved to the side and Harvey Unga took and went in for the touchdown. But the refs called Max Hall for unsportsmanlike conduct. Supposedly, the refs thought he was deceiving the defense. It made the whole crowd angry that they even booed the re

So before Halloween, on Thursday I had the chance to go to the Castle of Chaos. If you haven't been there I highly recommend it. It was one of the scariest haunted houses across Utah and also the country. It was really fun getting scared though. It is located in Salt Lake. We thought that the there would be a lot of people there, so we left early. When we got there, there was hardly anybody there. I was surprised there wasn't that many people as I thought there would be. Maybe because we went on a Thursday and most people go on the weekend. Anyways, it was really fun. Then on Halloween, we had our own haunted house. It looked pretty cool. I will have to post some pictures of it. This was really fun too. We got to scare people it doesn't get much better than that. We actually made a boy cry cause we apparently were really scary. By the way I dressed up as Rainbow Brite. It was a really fun night. Then after the haunted house was finished we went and watched
Jobs!

This month, I have gone all out by searching for jobs and applying for jobs. My first job that I applyed for was for a company called Vector. The next day I got a phone call from the secretary telling me about my job interview . That very day I went and had my interview. The thing was it was a group interview, that was interesting to me I thought. I did get invited to come back to training, but I thought about it and it didn't work out for me. I should have done research on the company itself, but obviously I didn't. Vector is a sales/marketing company. They sell kitchenware, and basically what my job would be going into people's homes trying to sell them the kitchenware. Plus I would have to schedule my own appointments, and so I called back the secretary the next day and told her my decision. Today, I have two job interviews. One of which I already went to. My first job interview was at Barratt Elementary for a job position as a Sweeper. I thought the intervie

I don't know about you, but I sure had a great General Conference weekend. The good weekend started off on Friday being able to go to the BYU game and then from there on. On Saturday, I really liked Elder Bednar's talk. It is something that we can all relate to. He talked about three steps. First, express your love and show it. Second was to bear your testimony and live it and lastly was to be consistent. I heard a lot of people especially like Elder Uchtdorf's talk that his was amazing. I have to say it was a really good talk as well. As far as Sunday goes, it started off with some delicious coffee cake. It is a tradition in our family to have it every general conference. However, the bad thing was I really wasn't able to watch conference that well cause my younger brother Bryce was being annoying to us. According to him conference is boring. I guess I can see how it would be boring being in a 13 year old's shoe's. However, I wish I could have been

So tonight, I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the game to watch BYU take on Utah State, courtesy of our Bishop. For the most part, it was a very good game. BYU won fortunately enough, 35 to 17, weirdly though that was the same score when Utah State played Utah. Anyways, to go into depth about the game I thought our offense did well except for the turnovers. These turnovers have to stop soon. Max Hall threw two picks in the game plus a fumble, but other than that our offense looked great. I thought our defense played well. There were some things they could have done better but for the most part they did a good job. They even stopped two fourth down conversions attempted by the Aggies. I was surprised by this Aggies team though. They really showed up to play. They have a talented quarterback who is an excellent runner and they also have a talented running back too. About their defense....well their defense is usually not that good but they actually did better today agai

So, on Saturday my Mom and I and the Maag's (their mom and two daughters Ashley and Danyale) were fortunate to go to the Conference Center for the Relief Society Meeting. It was a really neat experience for all of us, especially me though since this was my first time going. Before that though, we went to dinner. We always go to dinner before. We went to Olive Garden, which was so good. F.Y.I if you haven't tried their Chocolate Gelato, you should because it is too die for. They give you three big scoops of ice cream plus they top it off with carmel, whats better than that? Then, we were able to go up to the Conference Center. The only thing was the traffic was really bad. There were two accidents that we saw going up to Salt Lake. Plus, the Utes were playing that night so we saw Ute fans driving up to the game so they had a part in the traffic. But anyways, I loved the meeting. The choir was wonderful. I loved all the music that they sang. They sounded so pretty! Th

This post is for all those who had family members involved on September 11th. This was such a terrible day for a lot of people. I want to say though that I am so grateful to live in such a great country having many freedoms, compared to other countries which don't. Thanks, especially to all the men and women fighting in the military. You guys rock! God Bless America!

I never doubted into this game that BYU had the potential to win Oklahoma. And it paid off in the end, as they were able to triumph and prevail over Oklahoma, the third best team in the country. By the way here is Brian Kariya, who did an outstanding job in the game today. Did I forget to mention that he is my sister-in-law's brother, pretty cool isn't it?

Recently, I have been looking for jobs on and off campus. Luckily, I have been getting help from a UVU counselor who has been helping me to find some to apply to. So far I have applied to six jobs and I am going to apply to more. The great thing is all the ones that I applied to are what I am interested in so it works out well. I go back next week to my counselor to work on my resume and apply for more jobs. :):)

So yesterday I had an orthodontist appointment. What I didn't realize however was that I was getting my braces on. The bad news of course is having to get them on again. The good news however, is that the orthodontist said that I will FOR SURE get them off before Christmas, meaning I only have to where them for four months. That's better than 6 years, which I have already had to where them that long. I just want to get the braces off and over with so I glad to be fixing them now instead of waiting longer to put them on.

My dad got our family Salt Lake Connect Passes. If you don't know what they are well I'll tell you. Basically the cost is $20 a person and you and there are like twelve attractions you get to go. Some of them include: the Hogle Zoo, Red Butte Gargens, a free dinner at the Lionhouse, the Clark Planetariam, the Aquarium, the Dinosaur Muesuem at Thanksgiving Point, Tracy Aviary and there are a lot of others as well and going to all these attractions only cost $20. It was a really good deal so we got them and wennt and did the attractions over two days. It was so fun. Here are some photos we took:

Today we went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I thought it was a really good movie. I recommend it for everyone to see. I read the book so I was familiar with what was happening. But even if you haven't read the books it doesn't matter. It was still a very highly entertaining movie. However, the downside was we sat in front. The previous day I went and reserved tickets so we could have good seats. I told the girl 1:15. The bad thing was we didn't take any notice of the tickets so we just took them and thought it was all good. When we got to the theater we went up to where are seats were supposed to be and there were people in them. This was really kind of frustrating for me. But then I looked down and my ticket said 10 A.M. So the girl must have misunderstood, I thought I told her 1:15 very clearly I guess not though. As my dad would say, "What we have hear is the failure to communicate." So we went towards the front and sat in some emp

Yesterday, I went and got my wisdom teeth out. Everyone tells you that when you get put to sleep it only feels like 10 seconds. Indeed, that's how it felt for me. I don't even remember falling asleep from the anesthesia. However, when I was finally awake and ready to be taken home I couldn't walk. I was too drugged up that a few people had to carry me out to the car compared to my sister Bri, who just need someone to help her walk out. Here is how I felt before I got my wisdom teeth out: And now here is how I kind of feel now:

Today was the NBA Draft. When it comes to sports I am very big into them. So I was very curious to see who the Jazz was going to pick. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed by who they drafted. They drafted Eric Maynor from VCU. As much as he is a talented point guard, we don't need point guards we need big physical guys like Sam Young perhaps, or Dejuan Blair. Obviously, they liked Eric Maynor better. We'll see what happens though. You never know, Eric Maynor might come out and be better than I expect him to be. But for now, I am disappointed. Better luck next year.
