Relief Society Meeting
So, on Saturday my Mom and I and the Maag's (their mom and two daughters Ashley and Danyale) were fortunate to go to the Conference Center for the Relief Society Meeting. It was a really neat experience for all of us, especially me though since this was my first time going.
Before that though, we went to dinner. We always go to dinner before. We went to Olive Garden, which was so good. F.Y.I if you haven't tried their Chocolate Gelato, you should because it is too die for. They give you three big scoops of ice cream plus they top it off with carmel, whats better than that?
Then, we were able to go up to the Conference Center. The only thing was the traffic was really bad. There were two accidents that we saw going up to Salt Lake. Plus, the Utes were playing that night so we saw Ute fans driving up to the game so they had a part in the traffic.
But anyways, I loved the meeting. The choir was wonderful. I loved all the music that they sang. They sounded so pretty! The cool thing was the director was my jr. high choir teacher.
I really liked everyone's talks but my favorite talk happened to be from Sister Barbara Thompson. She spoke on the need that sisters needed to "mind the gap". She was just a great person to listen to. I look forward to listening to her again and the other two women in the presidency. It was a great conference. I am looking forward for next year.
