March Madness!
This March Madness has been crazy. There have been so many upsets by higher seed teams. For example Cornell, an Ivy League school making it to the sweet Sixteen, are you kidding me? No one expected them to even win the first round and they made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen, pretty impressive I have to say.
Then, look at Northern Iowa, another school like Cornell that no one thought would win. But they keep on winning and impressing a lot of people, especially winning over top seeded Kansas, which completely ruined my bracket because I had Kansas winning it all.
Then just last night, Butler winning over Syracuse. Who would have predicted that? These small schools have been working their butts off for sure. This March Madness has been a huge surprise to everyone.
Even President Obama picked Kansas like me to win it all. I don't really know whats happened to these top schools. Kansas, Georgetown, Villanova (which was the least impressive #2 seed in the whole tournament seeing that they barely won against Robert Morris and lost the next game against Saint Mary's), and Syracuse, I mean they were supposed to be top teams but apparently not.
In my bracket, I chose the four #1 seeds to be in the final four. So I had Kansas, Syracuse, Kentucky, and Duke in it. Half of the teams I thought would be in the final four are now gone. In the finals, I had Kentucky and Kansas playing but that isn't going to happen. I think the championship will be between Kansas State and Kentucky, and I actually don't know who will win because both teams have a lot of talent and they both could win. We will see what happens though.
But anyways the game last night between Xavier and Kansas State was amazing. Two overtimes, I really Xavier could have pulled it off against Kansas State but in the end Kansas State was able to pull out the victory.
