March Madness!

Image
This March Madness has been crazy. There have been so many upsets by higher seed teams. For example Cornell, an Ivy League school making it to the sweet Sixteen, are you kidding me? No one expected them to even win the first round and they made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen, pretty impressive I have to say. Then, look at Northern Iowa, another school like Cornell that no one thought would win. But they keep on winning and impressing a lot of people, especially winning over top seeded Kansas, which completely ruined my bracket because I had Kansas winning it all. Then just last night, Butler winning over Syracuse. Who would have predicted that? These small schools have been working their butts off for sure. This March Madness has been a huge surprise to everyone. Even President Obama picked Kansas like me to win it all. I don't really know whats happened to these top schools. Kansas, Georgetown, Villanova (which was the least impressive #2 seed in the whole tournamen

California!

Last week I was fortunate enough to go to California. Let me just say that it was a lot of fun. It was nice being in a place where the average temperature was in the 70's. During the week we were able to go and some fun things. On Tuesday, we were able to go to the Getty Museum. It was an amazing museum plus we didn't have to pay for admission. I was just amazed by everything in the museum. the architecture, the beautiful gardens, and just the Museum itself. Here are some pictures from the Getty. Then on Wedensday and Friday we were able to go Malibu and spend time at the Zuma Beach. It was a lot of fun. We even saw Dolphins jump out of the water. It was pretty cool. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of them but we still took some awesome pictures at the beach. Here they are. O> Then on Saturday we were able to go to the LA temple and the Santa Monica Pier. Here are pictures from that. Overall, it was a very fun trip despite all the long hours driving

First Missionary Letter!

A few days ago I got my first missionary letter from my friend who is currently in the MTC right now. Next week, actually on St. Patrick's Day in fact, he will be going to Missouri to teach the people there. I am really excited for him to go share the gospel to other people. Everybody has said their missions have been the best two years of their lives hopefully it will be for Elder Davis. From the letter I got he seems to be doing really well, even though its kind of hard for him to adjust to a schedule that has his whole day planned out for him, but it will be worth it for sure. Every mission is hard regardless if you are in a foreign country or in an English speaking state or country. I know have said this a lot on how he will do really well but seriously he will. Plus, he gets to go to Missouri where a lot of the church historical sites are. That's pretty cool. Counting today, he has been in the MTC for two weeks and one day. The thing I like about going on a mission

High School Sports

So, I am a Lone Peak high school graduate and Lone Peak is pretty good at sports. However, this year just seems like a downside for them. For example, when I went to school at Lone Peak we kept picking up championships for volleyball, basketball and other sports but this year is just not good for them. In football we made it to the quarterfinals and then lost, in girl's volleyball we lost to pleasant grove, and in basketball the sport that I think we are best in we didn't do so good. We lost to Bingham, but they are good in sports that's for sure, picking up a state championship in football which I was really ticked about. I just think a lot of the good players who went to Lone Peak are gone. Look what past Lone Peak players have done though. Jackson Emery and Tyler Haws are doing a heck of a job playing basketball at BYU. You also have Lacie Cramer who does track at BYU and she is doing awesome. And then you have some volleyball players such as Heather Hanneman, who

Mockingjay

So if you are a fan of the Hunger Games series then this post is for you. Mockingjay, the third and final book in the Hunger Games, is coming out this year and it happens to come out on my birthday August 24th. How cool is that, at least I think it is anyways. I was just playing around on Amazon.com and found a pre-order of Mockingjay, which at first I thought why would they already have a pre-order for it, it doesn't come out for another five months or so but on second thought its a good idea cause then you can pre-order it and already know you are guaranteed a copy and don't have to run to the bookstores to get it or worse be on the waiting list at the library. I am sorry but I hate being on waiting lists especially if you are like the 10th person on hold, then you have to wait forever to get the book. That is what happened to me when I was on the waiting list for the Lightening Thief. I was on it for a couple of months but eventually was able to get it and not only was I
