Sweethearts

First off, before I go into Sweethearts I want to add that both Young Men's and Young Women's church basketball teams are going to region. I am pretty excited about that.

Anyways, so, On Saturday around 6:30 I got picked up and first, we went and ate dinner at the Bishops house, because I soon found out that most of the priests asked the laurels so we all went as a church group, but it was still fun. Before we ate, we played games, not board games though. Our Bishop is rich, let me put it that way so he has an arcade room, where it has air hockey, Dance Dance Revolution (the arcade version), pinball, and others as well. It was so cool! My date and I played pinball and DDR so that was fun.

Then, the Young Mens President and Priest Adviser came to take our order, so it was like resturant style. We both got a menu to share and got to pick what we want. The thing was though we didn't know what we were getting it was all random because the menu items were Book of Mormon and Bible story things. The silverware was the funniest, because of course you didn't know what your were getting, so some people got big tongs, others got spatulas, some whisks, and I being the only smart one got a fork and a knife, how lucky am I? For my appetizer I got, I think it was Nephi's Bow and Arrow and they were mini pizza bagels. They were really good. My date on the otherhand, got these motserella (sorry spelling) cheese sticks. Then, the next part, both my date and I got Adams leaf, which of course is salad. The main dish, that I got was called Nephi's Blue Arrow, which was Cordon Bleu. Oh my gosh, it was so delicious, the best cordon bleu that I have ever tasted. My date he got the Chef's special which included instant mashed potatoes (sick) which cheese and hot dogs at the bottom. Don't you think that is the grossest combination ever? Well my date, David, let me try some and it was gross, sorry don't get me wrong, but that is just my opinion. Then they gave us corn, rice, and this fabulus garlic bread to share. For dessert I got the 10 Commandments Treat. It was actually ice cream with chocolate topping on it, kind of like an ice cream Sunday, but without other toppings and the cherry. I don't remember what my date got though. I almost forgot the drinks. I got Forbidden Fruit, which was a fruit smoothie, like Jamba Juice style, and oh, wow!. My date got water. Wow, but the dinner was awesome!. Those leaders took so much time to do that for us, I was so impressed.

Finally, about 9 or so we headed out to Seven Peaks to go ice skating. We first had to get gas, and then off we went. When we arrived, most of our group was already there, so we were the last to get there. Before we skated, we got pictures, and hopefully they don't turn out bad. Then we got on our skates and went around the rink. First off, I am not really good at ice skating so I went slow, and I fell behind the group. It's not my fault I am not a good skater. I would have preferred to do something else besides skating, but it was still fun. Then we came home, he walked me to the door and I got into bed to sleep.

Overall, it was really fun. I am glad that I went. So, my first date went really well which is great to know, because I didn't want to make a bad impression so hopefully he didn't think that I did, but yeah, thats how it went.

That sounds like an awesome first date. I'm glad that you had fun, and I'm sure your date did too. You should post your dance pictures when you get them -- I'd love to see them!
