July!!!
It has been a very long time since I posted I decided I would update it with things going on in my life.
A couple of weeks ago my family and I were able to do the Salt Lake Connect Pass. It gets you into 14 different attractions to an amazingly low price. There are different options varying from one day passes all the way to yearly passes.
Out of everything we did the favorites of mine were the Zoo, the Lionhouse, and the Clark Planetarium. First off, who doesn't like the zoo! All right, there are probably a few who hate walking around in the 90 degree weather looking at animals. But I absolutely love it. I look forward going to the zoo at least once a year. I'll admit my favorite animal is one that people would think weird but I love crocodiles nonetheless. The only disappointing thing about seeing the crocodiles are that they are always sleeping. The rest of the zoo was a lot of fun.
Of course I liked the Lionhouse for the food. What else do you go there for?
The Clark Planetarium is fun every year just like the zoo, especially when you see the right movie there. We watched three movies there, in the which the two IMAX movies, "The Conquest of Everest", and "Hubble 3D" were the ones that entertained me the most. The star show about the Maya Skies just had crappy animation, the narrator talked strange, and it just wasn't appealing to me. Note to self: do not go and see star shows at the Clark Planetarium unless they are actually worth watching. Sorry to all you star show lovers and I hate to break it to ya but they just aren't that good.
Then a week or so after that we were able to go camping up in the AF Canyon and enjoy everything up there. The first night of sleeping was the worst because it just poured hard down on us. The second night was not bad at all. It barely rained that day and I don't think it ever rained during the night. The last day was fun. We were able to go to Silver Lake to fish, go rafting, and just go hangout. Camping Trips are always a blast except the worst part is packing and unpacking. There is so much you have to do and you just get tired after a while.
Lastly, the event that I was most looking forward to was the Tim McGraw concert. Of course, he lived up to everybody's expectations. Before he sang there were two other bands before him. Lady Antebellum was one of the two bands to go and they performed really well. My favorite songs they sang were "Need You Now" and "I Run to You." Basically, I loved all of the songs Tim McGraw sang. He sure knows how to entertain a crowd. That's for sure. All in all it was a great night, despite sitting in the parking lot traffic for about forty five minutes and interestingly enough we even saw a fist fight break out between girls. Crazy, huh?
Overall, I had an awesome July and I look forward towards this fall, meaning I am way excited for football season to start! Finally!
