We're back
We just got back from an amazing trip to St. George because of Spring Break. It was really fun. I enjoyed it a lot. Here are the major details.
The first day, we went to Squeeze Rock. It is a really fun place. I highly recommend it if you ever go to St. George. The reason why it is called Squeeze Rock is because you have to fit in between these two huge rocks and be able to make it to the top. Sadly, I'm too big now so I couldn't go through. But I was still able to climb rocks so that was fun.
The following day we went to Zions Natl. Park. If you haven't been there you need to. It was so pretty up there. The scenery is incredible. But anyways we went on this hike called Angel's Landing. I don't know if any of you have hiked it but it was hard. I wasn't expecting having to hold on chains to be able to climb up. So I made past the first part of the chains but when I saw the big, ginormous cliff I chickened out. I am afraid of heights anyways so I sat and wait and talked to this old man. He was waitng also because he didn't want to go up either. It was a nice conversation. Next time we go I hope to be able to go all the way. People of who have gone on this hike know what I am talking about when I said the huge cliff. But it was still a fun hike other than me freaking out.
Then, on Thursday we went on a scenic drive in Zions, that was awesome. We also went to Red Cliffs. It is a place where you have to hike up but then there are these pools you can swim in and it was fun. But the water was freezing. I slid down to this pool and as soon as I touched the water it literally felt like 5 degrees, but I'm glad I slid down. As soon as we did, we went back ate dinner and went to bed.
While we were down there we went to Walmart and Costco and it was amazing because never in my life did I see so many polygamists as I did. I tried not to stare but I couldn't help it. I am not to fond of polygamists in general but at least they got good taste in grocery stores. This is just my opinion but speaking of polygamy, in Texas as they are trying to sort out all this polygamy crap its just ridiculous. I think it is dumb that they are taking away their children. I don't like it at all. Stupid Texas authoritys. But that is just my opinion. I know others have their own this is just mine.
Overall, it was an awesome trip, the only thing was that is was colder than I expected it to be. At least I wasn't down in Salt Lake where it was snowing.
Before we went on the trip, I was able to go to the Utah Flash. It was the first basketball game that I had gone to in a while. I had a great time, but I was disappointed that the Flash lost. They came back in the end and couldn't hold it. Oh well, there is always the Jazz to watch (speaking of which, man did they get crushed by the spurs). De ja vu again. Jazz get to play the Rockets in the playoffs. Sweet!
I haven't updated for a long time, so anyways here it goes. For easter, it was fun, we had family over and it was a fun visit. For general conference weekend, I was able to go to dinner with all the girls in the family and then go to my aunt's house to visit. I enjoyed it a lot.
